Athena Torri is an Ecuadorian Italian artist. Born in Milan, Athena grew up in Quito, Ecuador before immigrating to the United States. Athena has a BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design, and a General Studies Certificate from the International Center of Photography. Torri's work has been showcased across the United States and internationally. Her most recent solo show, titled "Land of Opportunities", was exhibited at Deli Gallery in NYC. Torri's work has been showcased in group shows at Signal Gallery (New York City), Serpentine Galleries (London), Stitching Electron (Netherlands), International Center of Photography Triennial (New York City), and Photoville (Brooklyn). Conveyor Editions (New Jersey) published Torri's first monograph, The Outsider, in 2016, and her work has also been featured in artist books including Pretty Young Thing (Lodret Vandret, 2013), and Hired Hand (Lodret Vandret, 2012). Torri currently lives and works in Beacon, NY.
